Laurel Douty

Senior Vice President, Consumerism

Laurel Douty, senior vice president of consumerism, joined National Imaging Associates (NIA) in 2008. In her role at NIA, Laurel leads efforts in developing new and better ways to empower consumers to make informed decisions about their own health care. She is responsible for implementing a consumer engagement strategy that capitalizes on opportunities to influence consumers' imaging decisions, and supports health plans in their drive to provide consumers with more transparent quality and cost information.

Prior to joining NIA, Laurel served as vice president of consumer sales and engagement at WellPoint/Lumenos. During her tenure there, she created a consumer engagement product designed to transform the way consumers viewed their role in the health care process - from purchasing and managing health services to adopting healthier lifestyles.

Additionally, Laurel gained extensive experience in benefits, compensation, organizational culture and change management through her leadership roles with Baylor Health Care System, Central and South West Corporation and Hewitt Associates.
